Didn't someone from that big poker forum do a breakdown of this? I remember reading that flat fees eat you alive when you're running hot, but percentage based actually smooths things out over time. Probably depends a lot on your volume and average bet size though.

My buddy Tom tried flat fees on a poker site and lost like $400 in rake during one hot weekend. He switched to a percentage based site and said it felt way more chill even though he played the same volume. It really does come down to how often you run deep and what stakes you're at lol.
