Unpopular take on AI tools for agency growth
I keep hearing everyone say AI is going to replace half our staff by next year. A speaker at a local meetup in Chicago last month said agencies that don't jump on the AI bandwagon will die. But here's what I noticed - the agencies pushing AI hardest are the ones struggling to keep real talent. I tried using an AI copy tool on a project for a $5,000 retainer client and got back text that needed 4 hours of rewrites anyway. Maybe I'm old school, but I think people still want actual human thinking behind their campaigns. Has anyone else found AI tools actually slow you down instead of helping?

My buddy's agency spent $800 on an AI campaign tool and the client laughed at the output.

Whoa, hold on though. I gotta push back on something. That speaker saying agencies that don't jump on AI will die? That's just plain wrong. I've seen plenty of solid creative shops that barely touch AI and they're booked out months in advance. AI is a tool, not a survival kit. If your whole business hinges on a chatbot or a copy generator, you probably had bigger problems already.
