Dropped $400 on a project management tool that just collects dust now
I bought a fancy project management subscription for my 5 person agency last spring, thinking it would organize everything perfectly. Turns out my team hated the learning curve and we went right back to using a shared Google Sheet within three weeks. Has anyone else found that simple tools actually work better than expensive software for smaller teams?

Bet your team secretly loved that Google Sheet because nobody had to log into another damn thing just to update a task status lol. Half the battle with small teams is just getting everyone to actually use the tool, not which features it has.

Oh man, that's like my neighbor who dropped $200 on a fancy wine opener with some sort of automatic cork remover thing and still uses a $5 screw pull one he got at a garage sale. I swear, my last team used Trello for about three days before someone got frustrated and just started pasting links into Slack. At this point I'm half convinced the real project management tool is just a group text with a pinned message that says "check this thread before you ask.
