I was totally wrong about hiring a dedicated HR person

Honestly, I thought it was a huge waste of money for a 12-person agency, but we spent $8k on a part-time HR consultant for six months. She fixed our onboarding mess and saved us from a potential lawsuit over a messed-up contractor agreement. Anyone else brought in HR help way later than they should have?

Honestly that still sounds like a lot for a small team... could have probably just read a few articles online and fixed it yourself.
