Showerthought: I used to think a big office in Chicago was key for my team
Last month we went fully remote and our project completion rate jumped 22% in the first 30 days. Anyone else see better results after ditching the physical space?

My cousin's law firm kept their fancy downtown lease for the "professional image." They finally let people work from home and the senior partners realized they were just paying a ton of money for a place to store their unused suits.

That jump in project completion is huge. It shows how much time gets wasted just commuting and dealing with office noise. The right setup at home cuts out all that dead time.

Remember that one time I tried to work from the office and spent two hours just trying to find a free conference room? My home setup is a folding chair and a laptop on a cardboard box, but somehow I still get more done. No one is stopping by to ask if I got the memo. The only office noise is my dog snoring. I'm not saying my place is nice, but at least the distractions are my own.
