Used to track every job in a $2 notebook, now I pay $89 a month for software I hate
For about six years I ran the shop out of a spiral notebook and a whiteboard by the door. Every job, every crew, every callback got written down in pencil. Then last March I got talked into one of those agency tools and now I spend 30 minutes a day just updating status fields. We've got 11 guys and nobody checks it except me. Anyone found a middle ground that isn't a notebook or a monthly bill?
