Client asked me to lower my rate and I said no for the first time
Met with a prospect at a coffee shop in Austin last Wednesday. She said 'I can get the same work for $500 less' and I just sat there for a second, then said 'okay, good luck with that.' She signed up two weeks later at my full rate of $3k/month. Has anyone else had a client come back after you stood firm?

Wait, she actually came back after you said "good luck with that"? That's wild. I would've bet money she found someone else for $500 less. The fact that she came crawling back two weeks later tells me she either got quoted way higher or found out the hard way that "same work" doesn't mean same quality. Honestly I'm shocked she lasted that long. Most people like that just disappear into the wind.
