Swore I'd never fire a client until one issue in Brooklyn forced my hand
Had this one client for 18 months, a real estate firm in Brooklyn. They kept adding scope without paying, three times in one quarter. I was at my desk on a Tuesday morning checking their latest email asking for a full website rebuild on top of the current retainer. I finally said no, let them go, and my team actually cheered. Has anyone else had that moment where cutting someone loose felt like the only move?

Man it's the same everywhere now. People just keep pushing until you finally snap.

Oh man, tell me about it. I had this coworker who would just push my buttons every single day about the smallest things, like how I organized my desk or the way I said good morning. I tried being polite, ignoring it, even joking along to keep the peace, but it just kept getting worse. Finally one day I just snapped and shouted at them in the middle of the break room, totally lost my cool. It was awful but honestly I think they needed to hear it, you know? People forget that everyone has a breaking point.
