I was totally against AI image upscalers until I saw what Topaz did to a 2004 photo of my dad
I used to think those AI upscalers were just hype, like putting a blur filter on something and calling it magic. But my buddy in Portland ran this old 400x300 pixel scan of his grandpa's car through Topaz Photo AI, and the detail in the chrome came back, I mean actual reflections. That was about 3 months ago, and now I've been testing it on old event flyers from my archive. The difference between the original jpeg artifact mess and the upscaled version is kind of wild, especially on text edges. Has anyone else seen big improvements with these tools for old photos versus new ones?

Saw my buddy fix a blurry 90s prom photo with it and it actually looked real.

Right, that stuff is getting scary good now. Hard to tell what's real anymore.
