My AI art generator glitched mid-project in a coffee shop in Portland last spring
I was sitting at Deadstock Coffee working on a series for a local band and the model started generating nothing but pixelated birds for 20 straight minutes so I had to scrap everything and rebuild the prompt from scratch using a way simpler word list, has anyone else had their model just completely break like that mid-session?

Did you check if your model was trying to pull from local WiFi signals or something? I read this thing online about how some of those public coffee shop networks can mess with your connection speed and corrupt the data packets going to the generation servers. Had a buddy who swore his outputs got all scrambled at a Starbucks in Seattle because the network was bogged down with like 50 people streaming video. Might also be that the model itself was hitting a memory limit or a ghost in the training data, I heard some of the newer ones have weird biases toward birds or animals if the prompt words get too repetitive.

Dude that coffee shop network thing is real. I was at a Panera last week trying to run a long prompt and my outputs kept coming back with weird repeating symbols and half-finished sentences. Switched to my phone's hotspot and it fixed everything. The barista even told me their WiFi goes out every afternoon when the lunch crowd hits.
