Showerthought: I saw a video from 2021 where an AI wrote a basic poem, and now it's making full songs with emotion.
The difference in just three years is crazy. It went from simple text to generating a whole track with vocals that actually sound sad, not just robotic. Anyone else think the speed of this is getting kinda wild?

Hold up, I gotta push back on the idea that the speed is actually that wild. I mean, the basic tech for this has been around for ages, it's just getting more polished now. It feels fast because we're all paying attention to it finally, but the jump from a basic poem to a full song isn't as huge as it seems. They're both just the AI putting words and sounds together in a pattern it learned. Maybe it's just me, but calling it 'sad' is still a stretch, it's just copying the sound of sad music.
