DAE mentally hear their grandmother yelling 'you'll dry it out' every time they open the air fryer?
Mine passed when I was 12, but I still catch myself muttering her warning under my breath before I throw chicken thighs in at 380 for 18 minutes, and I swear it actually keeps me from overcooking them.
The "you'll dry it out" thing got me because my grandma said the exact same words about her oven, not an air fryer, and she'd say it about everything. Chicken, pork chops, even a stupid frozen pizza. She passed when I was in high school and I still hear it when I pull stuff out too early because I got nervous. There's something about those warnings that just sticks with you way longer than any recipe ever does. Sorry about losing her so young, 12 is really rough, but it sounds like she left you something useful without even meaning to.
