Visited my aunt's house yesterday and her air fryer looked like it was from 2014
She still has one of those first generation basket models that doesn't even have a preheat setting, and I noticed the food was coming out way more uneven than my newer one. I offered to let her try my current air fryer to see the difference, but she said hers 'still works fine.' Has anyone else run into older relatives who refuse to upgrade even when the results are clearly better?

Oh I've been there, just leave a new one on her counter and take the old one.

I agree with @noraj79 on that. Leaving a new one on the counter and swapping it out is the only way to go. Much easier than dealing with the awkwardness of asking for it back.
