My panel mount battery bracket snapped after 3 years and I had to improvise

Honestly, I was swapping out a DSC PC1616 panel in a client's basement in Portland last Tuesday when the plastic bracket holding the backup battery just cracked clean in half. Tbh I didn't have a spare on the truck so I used heavy duty zip ties to secure the 12V 7Ah battery to the enclosure wall instead. Has anyone else had to MacGyver a fix like this or do you all carry spare brackets now?

Man, been there done that. Had a DSC panel bracket snap on a service call in an attic, no joke, middle of July. Used two fat zip ties and a piece of cardboard as a spacer to keep the battery from rubbing the metal box. Still holding a year later, no joke.

Disagree with @terry_hayes18, zip ties are a temp bandaid, not a real fix.
