My supervisor keeps taking credit for my install ideas

I suggested a better way to route cables in tight spaces, and now he presents it as his own in meetings. It's getting really old, and I don't know how to call him out without looking petty. What's the best way to handle a boss who steals your tricks?

Ugh, that's so frustrating when bosses do that. Maybe try writing your ideas down first so you have proof they're yours. You could bring it up with him privately, but who knows if that'll work.

What if you started sending a quick email recap after meetings? Like "per our talk, my next steps are X and Y" so there's a time stamped paper trail. It might feel awkward at first, but it helps cover you. Have you ever looped in HR discreetly about this pattern?

Yeah, I mean @bettyg93 is right, it's a super common but awful move. The email paper trail idea is honestly the only thing that's ever worked for me.
