Shoutout to my grocery store's weird veggie discount bin

Honestly, I used to avoid that stuff but you're right, it's a total game-changer!

My brother finally understood why we coil cables clockwise

Behind my gaming PC, I had a cable mess that took me a whole Saturday to fix. It feels like you need a special kind of patience to get it right. I watched a bunch of tutorials and still ended up with extra zip ties everywhere. Some people just have that neat wiring skill from the start, I guess.

Can we talk about tape measure locks? The new ones seem to give out after a few months...

On my last job site, I saw three FatMax tapes fail from the plastic lock within a year. What I do now is clean the lock with rubbing alcohol every few weeks to stop grit from grinding it down. Scott.ryan, it's a dumb flaw, but a little maintenance can push its life a bit longer. Still annoying for a tool that should just work.

Showerthought: Polyester thread ruins book sewing every time!

Polyester is just too slick and doesn't have any grip. It's the same reason it won't hold a knot well for sewing buttons either. The fibers don't absorb wax or conditioner like linen or cotton does, which helps lock stitches in place for the long haul. That tiny bit of friction from natural thread makes all the difference for binding.

My supervisor keeps taking credit for my install ideas

What if you started sending a quick email recap after meetings? Like "per our talk, my next steps are X and Y" so there's a time stamped paper trail. It might feel awkward at first, but it helps cover you. Have you ever looped in HR discreetly about this pattern?
