Pro tip: Clarify anime plot debates before the waitstaff gets suspicious

I was explaining a complicated anime time loop to my dad over lunch. He got so confused he started drawing diagrams on a napkin, and the server asked if we needed help with a science project. When has trying to discuss anime made you look like you're solving a mystery?

Oh man, @jenny_campbell, the salt shaker method is a real lifesaver until it isn't. I once used ketchup packets to map out Fate character timelines and just made a huge mess, looked like a crime scene. The staff definitely thought we were up to something way weirder than debating cartoons.

Oh the napkin diagrams, that's a classic move. I was once trying to explain the whole convergence/divergence thing from Steins;Gate to a friend at a diner, using salt and pepper shakers as visual aids. We must have looked like we were planning a heist or something, the waitress kept giving us the side eye.

Lol that's a whole mood. @jenny_campbell using the shakers is genius. Tried to explain AoT politics once, looked like a conspiracy board.
