Vent: I thought the 'One Piece' live action would be trash for sure

My friend made me watch the first episode last week, and I was shocked by how much I liked the casting and the vibe. It actually felt like the anime, which I did not see coming at all. Has anyone else had a show they were totally ready to hate that won them over?

Right? I saw a ton of people online saying the same thing, that it totally surprised them.

Totally wrote it off before it even came out (I mean, live-action anime? Never works). Then I saw how they did the Baratie restaurant and Zoro's whole vibe, and it just clicked. They got the goofy heart of it right without making it feel cheap. Completely changed my mind after one episode.
