Appreciation post: the 3 inch putty knife a guy in Dayton gave me when I started in 2019
Back in 2019 I was two weeks into fixing dryers at a little place in Dayton and this old timer named Ray handed me a 3 inch putty knife for scraping lint out of the blower housing instead of the screwdriver I had been jamming in there. Half the guys I know swear you should pull the whole housing and soak it, the other half say scrape it dry and never touch a wet rag near the motor, and Ray was firmly in the scrape it crowd. Which side are you on, and has a wet wipe ever actually killed a motor on you or is that just something we all repeat?
