Just saw a tech in Atlanta use a thermal camera on a fridge and it blew my mind
He was checking for a sealed system leak on a Samsung, and the cold spot showed up instantly on the display. I've been using soap bubbles for 15 years, but that camera found the leak in under a minute. Anyone else using thermal imaging for appliance diagnostics now?

That "found the leak in under a minute" part is exactly it. I borrowed a buddy's thermal camera for a tricky dishwasher leak last month. The water was dripping inside the cabinet frame, totally hidden. The camera showed the whole wet path glowing blue against the warm floor. Saved me hours of tearing out the kickplate and guessing.

So we're all just out here looking like cavemen with our soapy water while some guys have heat vision? Guess my leak detection kit is just a fancy bottle of bubbles now. I can't believe how fast that tech found the problem. Makes you wonder what other old school methods are totally outdated. Maybe I should stop fighting the future and just get one of those cameras.
