Client wants drone shots over their warehouse in Mesa, but the FAA rules make it a 2 hour setup for 90 seconds of footage
Last month I bid a job for a logistics company in Mesa that wanted sweeping drone shots of their new 40,000 square foot warehouse, and I quoted 3 hours of flight time plus a part 107 pilot, mapping software, and a waiver check because it sits half a mile from Falcon Field. The client pushed back hard and said their nephew could do the same thing with a $500 drone on a Saturday, which made me wonder if I'm overcharging or if he's just not thinking about airspace and liability. So where do you all land on this, is it worth sticking to your guns on legal flight time and insurance, or do you just quote the dream and hope nobody asks questions?
