Monsoon season wrecked my entire shoot schedule in Scottsdale last July

We planned a 3 day commercial shoot for a car dealership and lost every single golden hour to dust and flash flooding, so we had to reshoot all 40 shots indoors under fluorescent lights that made the paint look like a cheap rental, and now I'm wondering if anyone else just builds a weather buffer into their Arizona shoot dates or if I'm the only one who learned this the hard way.

Ugh, that's brutal! I once had a wedding shoot in Phoenix where the forecast said 0% rain and we still got hammered by a rogue dust storm that turned the whole ceremony into a sepia filter nightmare.
