I keep seeing people ask 'how do I start' without naming what they want to start.

Last week, someone posted 'Need advice on starting, please help' and got ten replies asking for the topic. I think a good question needs the subject in it, but others say any question is fine here. What's the right way to ask in an 'Ask Anything' space?
