My dumb little hobby finally paid off at exactly 1,000 sales and I'm still kind of annoyed about it
I've been selling hand poured candles at the weekend market in Roanoke for almost two years and just hit 1,000 total sales, which sounds great until I did the math on what I actually keep per candle. Between the wax, the tins, and the booth fee, that number came out to about $3.40 each, and I've been telling everyone I'm a small business owner this whole time. So how do you all handle the jump from a side thing to actually making money, or do you just enjoy it and stop counting?
