Showerthought: I started asking one dumb question at the start of every meeting and it fixed half my problems
I kept getting handed projects with vague goals like "make this better" and then getting dinged when my version of better was not theirs. Starting last week I just ask "what does done look like?" before anyone talks about anything else and three meetings in a row I found out we were solving two different problems. What question do you ask up front that ends up saving you the most trouble later?
