Unpopular opinion: a cop in Savannah made me change how I drive through yellow lights
I got pulled over at the intersection of Abercorn and 37th in Savannah about 6 months ago for running a yellow, and the officer said something I still think about, that a yellow light means stop if you can, not speed up. Half the people I know treat yellow as a go signal and the other half slam brakes the second it turns, and both groups swear they're the safe ones. So which is it, are you supposed to floor it or stop short when the light flips?
