Clearwater Beach dark sky hides more than I thought
Last Tuesday I drove out to Clearwater Beach for a night shot and ended up staying way longer than planned. The light pollution map said it was decent, but what really caught me was how the Milky Way core peeked through the haze around 11 PM. I used my old 14mm lens and had to stack 34 frames to get anything usable. Has anyone else tried shooting from beach access points and dealt with salt spray fogging up the glass mid session?

Bringing a small towel to wipe the lens between shots saved my salt spray shots last summer.
