Backed into a light pole last week and discovered a trick for dent removal

I was pulling out of a tight spot near my shop in Phoenix and crunched the rear quarter panel on a steel pole. After trying a few methods, I found that heating the panel with a heat gun then hitting it with compressed air popped the dent out almost perfect. Has anyone else tried this cold shock trick on aluminum panels?

Did you try that on aluminum or just steel since heat transfer is different on aluminum.

Yeah I feel you, that heat transfer thing makes a big difference.
