Finally got that stubborn blend door actuator fixed in my own truck

I've been putting off fixing the blend door actuator in my 2015 Silverado for about 3 months now. Finally got around to it this morning and of course I snapped one of the mounting tabs off the new part. Had to rig it with a zip tie and some epoxy I had in the shop, but it actually works now. Anyone else have to MacGyver their own vehicle repairs when you're supposed to be the pro?

Ha! Oh man, that's the most pro mechanic move ever right there. I love how @phoenixp30 thinks there's some magical "right part" that won't break the second you look at it wrong. In my experience, you haven't really fixed something until you've got a zip tie and some JB Weld holding it together. Honestly, if that blend door holds for more than a month, I'd call it a win and a half. That little actuator is cursed from the factory anyway, might as well embrace the chaos.

Dude just buy the right part next time instead of making a mess.
