Tried the hot glue trick on a cracked bumper tab and it held for 8 months
Had a 2016 Civic with a broken mounting tab on the front bumper cover, customer didn't want to pay for a new cover so I cleaned the plastic with alcohol and built up layers of hot glue around a small piece of window screen. Figured it would last a month at best but the guy came back 8 months later for an oil change and it was still solid. Anyone else use screen mesh for plastic repairs or do you stick with plastic welding?
built up layers of hot glue around a small piece of window screen" is wild but honestly kinda genius. My buddy did something close on his old Tacoma, used drywall mesh and a soldering iron to melt it into the crack, and that thing outlasted the truck. Screen mesh is slept on for this stuff.
