Crossed 500 flight hours on the same old G1000 trainer unit

That's a lot of simulated system failures (and a lot of coffee). Anyone else have a weirdly high number logged on a specific piece of shop gear?

Five hundred hours on a trainer is a serious grind. That's a lot of time to spend staring at the same fake panel. Seems like the real failure is not getting to fly the actual plane.

Exactly, that time could have been real stick time. The sim is just prep, not the main event.

Ever think that time on the trainer is wasted? I used to, but then I saw how it builds muscle memory for real emergencies.
