Fixing a loose outlet showed me why grounding matters in avionics

Now I check every ground wire twice, even on simple jobs.

Helped my buddy install a new amp in his truck last summer. We traced a buzzing sound back to a bad ground connection behind the dashboard. Had to re-solder the wire to a clean metal spot on the frame. Now I always use a multimeter to check for continuity before calling any job done.

That "check with a multimeter" step is key. I used to just eyeball it and hope for the best, but now I get why that's a bad idea.

Honestly, it feels like people make a huge deal over nothing sometimes. A bad ground might cause a buzz, but it's not like the whole system is going to fail. I've seen plenty of stuff work just fine with a less than perfect connection.
