Painted garage walls flat black, now I see better

Everyone said gloss white is the only way for a garage, but mine had terrible shadows from the old shelves. I put up flat black paint on the back wall and suddenly the LED strips I hung reflect way less glare. Cost me $40 and one rainy Saturday, best change I made. Anyone else try dark paint in a small shop space?

My buddy did this in his workshop and swore by it. Kept saying the dark walls just made the whole space feel calmer somehow, like the tools popped more. Now I'm half tempted to do my own garage but the wife would kill me.
