My mic stand fell into a drum kit mid-recording, crowd loved it more than me

Was tracking a band in my 8x10 shed studio in Columbus when the boom arm slipped and clipped the snare right at the chorus, dude laughed so hard we kept that take and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had a happy accident that became the keeper.

I mean, is it really that deep? Dude hit a drum, crowd laughed, you kept the take. That's not a happy accident, that's just a mistake you decided to roll with because you didn't want to redo it. I've seen this happen a million times where people act like a flub is some magical moment just because nobody walked out. Half the time the crowd is laughing because it's awkward, not because they love it. If that snare clip actually added something musical, fine, but if it's just a loud bang, you're fooling yourself. Keep the take if you want, but don't turn it into some story about serendipity when it's really just a recording quirk.
