My neighbor said my studio looked like a shed from the street
He walked by last week and just said, 'Hey, nice shed.' I had only put up plain plywood siding and a basic door. So I spent about $200 on some cedar battens and a nicer window trim kit from the store. I added those and painted the door a dark blue. Now it looks like a real little building, not just storage. Has anyone else had to fix their studio's curb appeal like that?

Honestly, who cares what the neighbor thinks. It's a studio, not a house for sale. Spending that money just because of one comment seems like a lot.

Yeah I used to feel the same way. But a neighbor's comment about my place actually made me see it differently. Now I get why someone might want to fix it up.

Listen to that feeling, it's trying to tell you something. I spent years ignoring little comments about my own place until I realized they were pointing out stuff I secretly hated too. Start with ONE small, cheap fix in the area your neighbor mentioned, like a new lamp or a rug. If fixing that one spot makes YOU happy to walk in the door, then you know it's worth doing for yourself, not for them. If it doesn't, then you can drop it and know you tried.
