My 'soundproof' shed went from a quiet box to a full echo chamber overnight

I put up some cheap foam panels from a hardware store and the next day my voice started bouncing around like I was in a cave. Turns out I just trapped all the sound inside instead of blocking it. Anyone know a good way to fix this without starting over?

Tried those foam squares in my garage studio and had the same problem. They just soak up the high notes and leave the low rumble bouncing around. I ended up layering moving blankets over the foam, which helped a ton. You could also hang some thick curtains on the walls to break up the flat surfaces. Isn't it funny how the cheap fix sometimes makes it worse before it gets better?

Oh man, @bailey.sandra that's so true about the cheap fix backfiring. I mean, it's wild how foam basically just eats your cymbals and vocals but does nothing for that bass hum. Something I tried that helped was putting up a bunch of those cheap wood slat panels from the hardware store in between the blankets. It sort of breaks up the sound waves differently than just soft stuff. Idk, maybe it's just me but mixing hard and soft surfaces seemed to work better than only one type.
