Walked into a Dollar Tree in Tulsa and saw aisle signs taped over old aisle signs 3 layers deep, and I kind of miss when stores just picked a font and stuck with it

Count yourself lucky it was only three layers. The Dollar Tree near me has signs stacked so deep the top one is practically hanging off the shelf, and you can still read "School Supplies" ghosting through from 2019 underneath. Pro tip if you ever need to fix one of those: peel the whole stack off with a putty knife, hit it with some Goo Gone, and slap one clean sign up. Takes ten minutes and it looks like a real store again instead of a yard sale. The tape over tape thing happens because nobody wants to scrape off the old adhesive, so it just keeps piling up forever.
