Guy at a print shop in Phoenix told me my logo looked like a blurry thumb from 20 feet, so I finally fixed the detail
Two years back I made a logo for my plumbing crew with a tiny wrench and pipe crossed inside a circle. I thought it looked sharp on my laptop. Then I took a van decal to a print shop in Phoenix and the guy walked to the back of the room, squinted, and said it read like a blurry thumb from 20 feet out. I was annoyed for about a week. Then I shrank it to 1 inch on a business card and he was dead right, all that tiny detail turned to mush. I dropped the wrench and pipe down to one bold pipe shape and made the circle thicker. Now it works on a 4 foot truck door and a half inch invoice stamp. What details have you all cut to make a mark hold up small?

How tiny did you test it before the fix, like did you actually print a stamp size proof or just trust the screen? That shrink test is the one that always gets me, everything looks great zoomed in until you see it at half an inch. Thicker lines and one shape instead of three is really the whole fix most of the time.
