Paid $200 for a quick logo redesign on Fiverr and got a clip art mess

My buddy's coffee shop needed a new logo fast so I hired someone on Fiverr for $200. They sent back a design with a generic coffee cup vector I've seen on a million sites... looked nothing like the vibe we talked about. Had to spend another $150 with a local designer in Austin to fix it. Anyone else get burned by cheap logo work online?

Oh man, that "generic coffee cup vector" line hit way too close to home. It's rough when you think you're getting a custom job and they just drag and drop some clip art.

Dude same thing happened to me with a logo for my lawn care side gig. Paid $150 and got a vector of a lawn mower that looked like it was from 2005. I could have found better clip art for free on Google images.
