Told my nephew his lemonade stand logo looked like a toilet, he cried, I still think I was right
My nephew set up a lemonade stand on our street in Toledo two Saturdays ago and asked me to make him a sign. I threw together a quick design in about 20 minutes, a yellow circle with a white swoosh through it for the lemon slice. Showed it to him and he loved it until his mom walked by and said it looked like a toilet bowl with a handle. Now I can't unsee it and neither can he. I redid the whole thing with a simple wedge shape instead and honestly it works way better. But here's my real point, people need to stop being nice about bad logos. If a logo reads wrong at first glance, saying nothing is worse than saying something. So what do you all do when a design fails the squint test, scrap it or tweak it?
