Serious question, who designed the self checkout at the big grocery store on 5th?
I was there yesterday and the screen kept asking me to place items in the bagging area, but I already had. It made me do this three times for a single loaf of bread. The 'skip bagging' button was tiny and gray, hidden in the corner. The whole thing took me over five minutes for two items. How is a system that fights you this hard saving anyone time? Has anyone found a store with a self checkout that doesn't feel like a fight?
Honestly, did you see that article about how those slicers are basically set up wrong from the factory? Tbh I read they calibrate them for super soft bread and anything with a crust just gets destroyed. It made me look at our deli counter totally different. Ngl I'm kind of scared to use them now after your buddy's bagel story.
