Chose between my grandma's hand mixer and a stand mixer for her butter cookies
Grandma's old hand mixer finally died back in March and I stood in the store for 20 minutes debating whether to just grab a $30 replacement or drop $200 on a stand mixer instead. Went with the stand mixer and the cookie dough that used to take me 15 minutes of arm work now comes together in about 4. Anyone else switch from a hand mixer and feel weirdly guilty about it?

The guilt part is what gets me. Dropping that kind of money on something your grandma did just fine with a $15 mixer feels like you're saying her way wasn't good enough or something. But 15 minutes down to 4 is 11 minutes back in your life every batch, and that adds up quick.
