Hit my 1,000th fade on Tuesday and the number hit me harder than I expected
I was cutting a kid named Marcus at my shop in Dayton and happened to glance at my booking app between passes. It said I'd logged 1,000 fades since I started tracking them about 3 years ago. Honestly I figured I was way past that already, so seeing the real number made me sit with how slow the first hundred felt compared to now. Any of you keep a running count, or am I the only weirdo who tracks this stuff?
So you logged 1,000 haircuts in 3 years and that felt like a big deal? That's about one a day if you work most days. Seems like a normal pace for someone cutting hair, not some huge milestone. Numbers like that can mess with your head because the first hundred always feels slow, but that's true for anything you do over and over. Tracking it is fine if you get something out of it, but acting like it hit you hard is kind of a lot for a count you made up yourself.
