Took me 3 hours to fix a wobbly barber chair I shoulda caught in 20 minutes
I swapped out the hydraulic pump on an old Belmont chair last Tuesday. Thought it was the cylinder, tore the whole base apart, spent forever figuring out the mounting. Turns out it was just a loose bolt on the footrest bracket that took 2 minutes to tighten. Anyone else waste a whole afternoon on something that simple before?

Yeah I swear I read somewhere that those Belmonts are notorious for loose footrest bolts...

I had the exact same problem with mine, @joseph_lewis92. What worked for me was just swapping out the bolts for ones with lock washers, cheap fix from the hardware store and it never came loose again.

Did you catch that video someone posted about barber chairs where they showed how the footrest bolt gets loose over time? I saw it a few weeks back and it saved me from doing the exact same thing. Idk why they dont just put lock washers on those from the factory.
