Five minutes of user testing killed my three hour toggle too.

You know, I actually used to buy into the whole "ergonomic" marketing hype myself. Bought this $45 "revolutionary" coffee mug with a weird angled handle a few years ago because it looked So cool. But @cameron_craig you're absolutely right about that designer never testing it with actual hot coffee. First morning I filled it up, the handle forced my wrist into this awkward bend and I dumped half the mug on my lap. That vegetable peeler example is spot on too, I had one of those and it was basically unusable. It really changed my whole view on these products realizing the designers probably sit at a computer all day and never actually use the thing in real life.

Oh man, yeah Ive been there. That trick works sometimes but honestly its like trying to straighten a crooked nail when you should just get a new one. I tried it with a bunch of pressure treated 4x4s for my deck and only about half of them stayed straight after a few weeks. The wood just wants to go back to its old shape once it dries out. I think the real issue is that home depot and lowes just let their lumber sit out in the weather way too long. Youre better off sorting through the pile yourself and picking boards that are already pretty flat. If you grab ones that are already warped in the store theyre probably never gonna be perfect no matter what you do to them.
