Serving meat hot off the grill was my thing, but a contest judge's comment made me change my mind.
Hearing how much better it tastes after resting convinced me to wait.

Try covering it with foil while it rests, like @thomas587 said, to keep it warm and juicy.

Honestly, it clicked for me when I heard the meat soaks up its own juices again while it rests. More juice inside means way more flavor in every bite!

Okay but is the resting time really that big of a deal for a regular weeknight dinner? Feels like one of those food rules that gets overblown. Sure, maybe for a contest, but when you're just hungry at home, that hot-off-the-grill bite is pretty hard to beat. The foil trick from @jennifere18 makes sense to keep it warm, I'll give you that. Still, sometimes I just want to eat my food right away without a whole science project.
