I realized that good BBQ smells so strong because it pulls people in, just like it did with my pup.

Yeah that "pulls people in" idea is spot on. I always thought it was just about taste, but my dog doing the same begging routine totally made it click for me lol. Now I get why the smell is half the battle.

My grandma's kitchen always smelled like cinnamon. That scent alone got everyone hanging around way before dinner was ready. I totally thought it was about the food until my cat would bolt into the kitchen from a dead sleep. Now I see the smell basically preps you for the good stuff, like a sneak peek. Your dog begging is the same vibe, smell hooks you first. It's wild how much we run on scent without even realizing.

Scent REALLY does work as a sneak peek for good times ahead. Even my cat perks up at certain smells, showing how natural it is. We're all just animals waiting for the next good smell, I guess.
