Can we talk about using a hair dryer to seat stubborn tubeless tires?
I was trying to set up a new gravel bike tire in my home shop last week and the bead just would not pop into place, even with a floor pump. Out of frustration, I ran a hair dryer around the tire for about 30 seconds to warm up the rubber and the casing, and it seated perfectly on the next pump stroke. Has anyone else found a specific heat trick that works for them on tough tire jobs?

Wait, you can do that? My buddy tried something like that last winter when he was fighting with a new downhill tire. He ended up using a space heater in his garage for a minute, just to take the chill off the rubber, and said it went on way easier. I guess warming it up makes the material more flexible so it can snap into place. Might have to try the hair dryer trick next time instead of just swearing at my bike lol.

That's a solid tip from your buddy, @ninam86. I've definitely been the guy just leaning all my weight on a tire iron, getting mad. Warming the tire makes total sense, like how a rubber band stretches when it's warm. A hair dryer seems smarter than my old method, which was just waiting until summer.
