PSA: Stop lubing chains with the bike on the stand

I did it in my garage last Tuesday. Oil dripped straight onto my disc rotor. Had to sand the pads for 20 minutes to get the squeal out. Anyone else burn a set of pads this way?

16 miles into my first ride after that mistake and the brakes sounded like a angry cat. @river_wright I get why people say take the wheel off but thats a lot of extra work just to avoid a little drip. Honestly I think people overreact about oil on rotors. A proper bed-in process usually fixes it without sanding anything. My buddy did the same thing last month and just rode hard for 5 minutes and the noise went away. Not saying its ideal but its not the end of the world either.

Didn't some mechanic say to always take the wheel off first?
