Is binge watching better with week-long breaks or straight through?

My buddy in Chicago says he has to space out shows like 'Severance' over a week because he needs time to think about each episode. But I just finished 'The Bear' season 3 in one Saturday and felt totally lost in the story. Neither of us could convince the other, and we ended up at this diner arguing about it for an hour. Has anyone else had a friend who watches shows totally different from you and it made you question your own way?

@emma_young gets it. Binge or bust, that's my rule. Splitting shows into weeks just makes me forget the little things that make it great. Tell your buddy to stick with his pace and stop trying to convert people.

honestly binging straight through is the only way for me. if i take a week between episodes i forget half the details and have to rewind. your buddy is overthinking it, just let the story wash over you.
